How long does my RICS Help to Buy Valuation Last?
A RICS Help to Buy valuation is valid for 3 months. If you do not pay off your equity loan within this time, you can request a desktop valuation from the original surveyor. This must be done within 2 weeks of the original valuation expiring and will be valid for a further 3 months. The fee for a desktop extension is £75 inc VAT.
Desktop valuations can be requested after the original valuation has expired for up to a further 3 months. If the desktop report expires and you have still not completed the transaction, you will need to have your property re-inspected and a new RICS valuation report provided.
